For those of you that missed the news, the creator of “Family Guy”, Seth MacFarlane will be hosting the 85th Annual Academy Awards this year under the telecast producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron. Taking over where Billy Crystal left off last year and topping the initial announcement, last year, of host Eddie Murphy prior to producer Brett Ratner’s offensive comments, MacFarlane is as close to a perfect host as one could hope for, with enough flair and pizzazz to entertain, while harnessing enough self-control and timing to keep the show prestigious. Now if everyone can stay on their best behaviors, we can actually see this through.
