For as long as I can remember, I have been a complainer (or ranter if you will). Those who know me, know I often travel off conversation course into ramblings that end in either frustration or confusion. Perhaps I was allowed to watch Dennis Miller at too early of an age or perhaps I just think I have strong beliefs that are worth something. Either way, I have always wanted to start a blog to post such thoughts and gather other people’s opinions.

Rule One: Never spare my feelings. As a loner, I have come accustomed to the fact that my opinion is not the only one out there. Life would be utterly boring if everyone had the same opinion on everything (it would probably be more peaceful, but that’s not the world we live in). I am often in the minority when it comes to most topics. This is an open forum that I hope can generate at least some intellectual conversations. Topics will not be solely film related. If I have an opinion on any area of the world, I will probably share it. And isn’t that the entitlement of a blogger? Do not worry, I do not think my opinion is better than anyone else’s, I just simply have an opinion and often can argue it.

Take the film “Avatar” for example. At times last year, I felt I was the only person in the world that did not care for the film. If it weren’t for a good friend of mine, I truly and honestly would have felt that way. But as I shared my opinion with those around me, I started to see a result: my friends and co-workers took my pure hatred for “Avatar” to heart and ended up not even seeing the blockbuster (to this day for most of them). I do not feel this is a coincidence because the group of people that surrounds me are very open to most films. Not to say that some of them actually viewed the film and liked it, but for some of them, my opinion was enough to never see it.

Off the top of my head, some of the upcoming topics will be “Why we need John Connor now more than ever” in relation to the “supercomputers” that are winning Jeopardy. Another topic will be “Why 3D has failed before, and why it will fail again” on the idea of 3D films and how it simply leaves a bad taste in my mouth. And these are just some of the potential blogs. Mainly, if I end up having a conversation with a friend, read an interesting article, have a strong feeling towards something, I will probably post it right here. I will also try to post news as it becomes available to me to offer something more than just opinion based posts.

I sincerely hope you at least enjoy yourself a small bit on this blog and I hope it gives you a little bit more of an insight into my personality. I am a writer at heart but not really a writer at life, so please excuse any clerical errors that I may overlook.

Happy Blogging!
