Martin Scorsese as director makes “Hugo” a huge attention-grabber, however, as an action-adventure children’s film, the film does not hold a huge chance of being nominated for anything like Best Picture. That being said, from the trailer alone, “Hugo” could easily pull off nominations for visual effects, art direction, and directing.
