Considering the amount of press “Puss In Boots” has gained since its release on top of the huge numbers it is pulling in the box office, I would not at all be surprised if “Puss In Boots” found a nomination at this year’s Academy Awards. If you remember, “Shrek” was the first film to ever win the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature Film in 2001. “Shrek 2” was nominated in 2004 but lost to Disney/Pixar’s “The Incredibles”. This year is the year of animated sequels and it will be interesting to see which of the eighteen films will be nominated.
