One of my favorite films of the year (thus far), there is no surprise that “The Ides of March” is being considered for all categories of the Academy Awards. I have a strong feeling that this might be Ryan Gosling’s year, if not to win an Oscar than to at least be nominated. Having George Clooney star and direct may give Clooney an edge to be nominated (though I have a stronger feeling he will be nominated for “The Descendants” instead). I would not look passed Philip Seymour Hoffman, Marisa Tomei, and even Evan Rachel Wood to be nominated either.
