This year’s Disney/Pixar installment, you can place your bets on this one getting nominated for the Oscar. The original “Cars” was nominated for Best Animated Feature at the 79th Academy Awards and lost to “Happy Feet”. The funny thing is “Cars 2” faces “Happy Feet Two” this year in the pool of eighteen animated films up for consideration, and in my opinion, “Happy Feet Two” will probably not even get nominated. Not sure “Cars 2” holds much of a chance against some of the competition. Look out for Pixar next year, as “Brave” will almost definitely be taking the gold unless something can blow critics away.
