Iran’s submission for the Academy Awards’ Best Foreign Film, “A Separation” has already won the top award at the Berlin International Film Festival (the Golden Bear) becoming the first Iranian film to win the award. Having won such an award and being picked up for distribution by Sony Picture Classics makes this film a front-runner for gaining the coveted nomination.
