Few films are getting quite the buzz as “The Artist”. If you would have asked me at the beginning of the year if I thought a French, black-and-white, silent film would be receiving the praise of critics and even the end-all talk of being good enough to win Best Picture, I would have called you crazy. Jean Dujardin won Best Actor at Cannes Film Festival, so there is obviously something there, but without having seen the film, I cannot speak for sure. But with all the talk, I am comfortable assuming that “The Artist” will definitely be nominated for several Academy Awards this year.
