PROMETHEUS / There is nothing quite like bringing back the Alien franchise with what looks to be one of the most epic upcoming films of the year, not to mention a science fiction thriller of epic proportions.. With a stacked cast of Charlize Theron, Guy Pearce, Naomi Rapace, and Michael Fassbender, I will definitely be seeing this film opening night.
For those of you that don’t know, Ridley Scott directed the original Alien film (followed by James Cameron and David Fincher). Though Prometheus is said to explore its own separate mythology, it exists in the same world as the original.
With last summer starting the Ultimate Blockbuster Summer Experience, with every weekend carrying an epic summer blockbuster, this year already appears to be chalking up with some hard-to-compete-with films of its own, not only with Prometheus, but with The Avengers, The Dark Knight Rises, Brave, and The Amazing Spider-Man as well.
