“Cloud Atlas” is quite the ambitious undertaking, but I’m afraid most of these categories will be overlooked when thinking of the film. However, some strong chances of nominations that it does have are in the Best Original Score and Best Visual Effects categories, bringing some of the best of the year for each of those categories. Never count out Best Film Editing, Best Makeup, or Best Production Design, either, as it comes in very strong in all of those categories. It really depends how this film lands with Academy members.
