BOTTLE ROCKET

BY CHRISTOPHER HASKELL
JANUARY 19, 2013

Wes Anderson’s first feature film is terrific, developing his pronounced style and quirk almost immediately in his career, directing the Wilson brothers in a dark comedy about heisting and camaraderie. Both brothers show their unique acting styles and bright futures and work with Anderson to produce multiple comedic sequences. The quality of the film does not scream first-time feature, having a touch of an independent film while never feeling loose or underdeveloped, constantly feeling polished and well handled.
