PAPERMAN
Granted I have not seen any of the other animated shorts so far this year, it will definitely take a lot to beat out my current favorite, Disney’s short entitled “Paperman” which is playing before screenings of the feature “Wreck-It Ralph”.
Telling the silent, black-and-white (for the most part) love story of two strangers passing by and eventually being led to find one another again, it is the music and the rich emotions brushed upon that make this short so enjoyable. And for being a short, you definitely get your money’s worth, almost overshadowing the feature playing afterwards.
Disney has their finger on the pulse of what makes enjoyable animation, for all ages, and I can’t imagine another animated short this year, that can match this one on all of its levels.
