Do not count it completely out, but chances are high that “Fast & Furious 6” does not make it to Oscar nominations in the least. Banking more on Best Sound Mixing and Sound Editing, those seem to be this film’s only chance of making it to the big night. With popularity rising for this franchise, that doesn’t mean much considering none of the previous five installments have ever garnered an Oscar nomination in any category. Action films are rarely honored at the ceremony in any capacity and it’s surprising to even see this in the For Your Consideration section.
