Most years I find it difficult to predict the nominations for the Oscars. With so many great films to have to choose from, weighing what I think will get nominated over what I want to get nominated, and the unpredictable nature of the Academy, there’s almost no way to completely be sure of your choices. But as with every year, I gave it my best shot. I’ve seen enough of these films and follow enough Oscar blogs to feel at least somewhat confident that some of these films will be nominated on Thursday.
