BOO! A MADEA HALLOWEEN || Anything Madea related I will likely never see. Personally I just do not feel like Tyler Perry is very good at making films and the humor is beyond me. To top it off, Bella Thorne stars in this and is becoming the signal for things that just are not of quality.
PASS
JACK REACHER: NEVER GO BACK || Tom Cruise is basically the same character in everything these and whether you put a “Mission Impossible” or “The Mummy” or “Jack Reacher” on the front of it, you’re likely to get just about the same character in every single one: a man that can put himself through anything… a falling plane, a group of ten armed men, a motorcycle chase. Basically the cruder, American James Bone at this point.
STREAM
KEEPING UP WITH THE JONESES || Not to be confused with the David Duchovny film titled “The Joneses,” this one sees a couples new neighbors being some undercover spies. Zach Galifianakis and Isla Fisher are the down-home family who face off with Jon Hamm and Gal Gadot’s spy couple. What the film mainly has going for it is Fisher and Gadot in their underwear and wearing some very impressive outfits. Otherwise, the comedy is lacking in this one.
RENT
OUIJA: ORIGIN OF EVIL || Mike Flanagan is proving to be one of the best things to ever happen to the horror genre. Despite flailing reviews of the original “Ouija,” Flanagan was allowed to go ahead with a prequel of sorts, carrying the “Ouija” brand name and for what it’s worth, the critics had plenty of nice things to say about it.
