CARRIE FISHER
October 21, 1956 – December 27, 2016 (age 60)
Cause of Death: Cardiac Arrest

Long live the Princess. Carrie Fisher was an unconventional beauty. She made a name for herself by captivating in the original three Star Wars films and continued the legacy in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and soon to be her final role, in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. She was slated to have big parts in the continuation of the Star Wars franchise and even after her death, it was up in the air whether or not they would digitally add her, like they did in her young form in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. As Princess Leia Organa, she was sassy, strong-willed, and rarely the damsel in distress. Although she was put in one of the most iconic bikinis in Return Of The Jedi, she always seemed in control and was never just the eye candy on the series. The daughter of Debbie Reynolds (Singing In The Rain), she would go on to deal with her demons, but in the end, she would ultimately be remembered for the role that kicked started her career and go on to reprise and rehash the role and even to play herself in many films and television series that followed. With her mother, Debbie, dying the day after Fisher’s death, it is truly a heartbreaking time for that family, with two strong women that left quite the legacy behind them.
