IT COMES AT NIGHT || Get ready for another low key, paranoia-induced, psychological thriller about some kind of worldwide outbreak. The tone of the trailer feels a lot like Cabin Fever, if you replaced the secluded college kid weekend with that of a family trying to survive on its own in the wilderness when another small family comes looking for help. The creep-out factor of some sort of sickness infecting the cabin inhabitants is all there, complete with a make-out scene on a bed that gets pretty gross. Joel Edgerton (Warrior and Loving) plays the matriarch of the family surviving on their own in the woods. Christopher Abbott (Girls and James White), Riley Keough (Mad Max: Fury Road) and Carmen Ejogo (Selma and Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them) also star. The film is directed by Trey Edward Shults, who gained recognition last year from his directorial debut of Krisha, which was based on his short-film of the same name in regards to a real-life event where his cousin relapsed at a family reunion and which he wrote, directed, and acted in. It Comes At Night was the second of a two picture deal the director had with A24. It premiered in April at The Overlook Film Festival.
