THE ONLY LIVING BOY IN NEW YORK || What do you do after directing the not-so-well-received The Amazing Spider-Man and The Amazing Spider-Man 2? You go back to where you got your start. Director Marc Webb’s first feature film debut was (500) Days Of Summer, and what a debut that was. Dabbling in the superhero world, he is now back in that romantic comedy, coming-of-age realm. He directed Gifted this year, which was another pull-on-your-heartstrings drama about a little girl savant and now he has The Only Living Boy In New York, the story of a recent college graduate looking for his place in the world who finds himself involved romantically with his father’s mistress. The cast is absolutely amazing, with Callum Turner (Green Room & Assassin’s Creed) playing the graduate, Pierce Brosnan playing his father, and Kate Beckinsale playing the mistress. Kiersey Clemons (Dope & Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising), Academy Award winner Jeff Bridges, and Cynthia Nixon co-star.
