THE DISASTER ARTIST || The movie The Room is often referred to as one of the worst movies of all-time. Naturally, James Franco has taken it upon himself to make a comedy about the making of the film, in which he directs and stars as the lead, Tommy Wiseau, the mysterious oddball behind the actual film. The film gets its title from Greg Sestero’s best-selling tell-all titled The Disaster Artist, which goes into great detail describing how Sestero met Wiseau, how the movie came about, and the behind-the-scenes antics of the production of the film. James Franco surrounds himself with an ensemble cast, including his brother Dave Franco playing Sestero, while Seth Rogen, Bryan Cranston, Zac Efron, Zoey Deutch, Judd Apatow, Josh Hutcherson, Ari Graynor, Alison Brie, Casey Wilson, Jason Mantzoukas, Paul Scheer, and what seems like a never-ending list of other widely known actors fill out the rest of the cast. Even Wiseau himself is rumored to play a part. That being said, the teaser is just that, a “tease” highlighting the endless takes that Wiseau went through delivering some of the worst lines in the history of film: “I did not hit her, it’s not true, it’s bullshit, I did not hit hurt, I did not… oh hi Mark.” Part of the line also appears on the poster.
