Starting this week, I am bringing back a feature I had started almost six years ago where I went through the weekly streaming content and listed the ones I considered the ten best of the week. Previously, it was only my Netflix Instant Picks, but seeing as other streaming venues like Amazon, Hulu, HBO, and Showtime have all joined the fray, I will be including them as well. At the bottom of each list, I will include a hand full of other streaming films that I did not quite make the list as well as a few films that will be expiring within the next week.

My list this week includes three classics, a trilogy, a film by Oliver Stone, a film by Wes Anderson, and a Disney film that will make you nostalgic for your childhood. Some films not on the list include the first five “Saw” movies, if you’re trying to catch up before “Jigsaw” comes out this October, Marvel’s “The Incredible Hulk” has popped up on HBO, and “The Babadook” is now on Showtime. If you’re into “Wet Hot American Summer,” there is a new Netflix Original Series available now called “Ten Years Later.” Be sure to catch “Human Capital,” “Dead Snow 2”, “Dope,” and Marion Cotillard’s Academy Award nominated performance in “Two Days, One Night” before they leave Netflix this week.
