ANNABELLE: CREATION || A sequel to a horror film is rarely as good as the original, but seeing as the original “Annabelle” set the bar extremely low, it seems that “Annabelle: Creation,” actually a prequel, is doing much better. Going back to the creation of the doll that we first see in “The Conjuring,” we get a backstory to the creepy little doll that the Warrens find.
THE GLASS CASTLE || Based on a best-selling novel of the same title, Brie Larson plays the grown-up daughter of Woody Harrelson and Naomi Watts, who endured moving from place to place when she was a child because her father chose to be a nomad that refused to pay the IRS.
INGRID GOES WEST || Aubrey Plaza plays the title character in “Ingrid Goes West,” as she moves to California to stalk a social media-ite in Elizabeth Olsen and becomes best friends with her by liking everything that she likes.
THE NUT JOB 2: NUTTY BY NATURE || Not sure why “The Nut Job” is getting a sequel, but at least they got Will Arnett and Katherine Heigl to return for the voice cast, which slightly elevates what would normally be a straight-to-DVD release.
