SONNY LANDHAM
February 11, 1941 – August 17, 2017 (age 76)
Cause of Death: Congestive heart failure
The career of Sonny Landham took many turns throughout his life. He apparently began as a pornographic film actor until he broke through into Hollywood and became a mainstream actor instead. He would start his career in smaller roles like a police officer who gets his legs broken in “The Warriors” (1979) and as a pool worker in “Poltergeist” (1982) but he would later breakthrough will roles like Billy in “Predator” (1987) alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger. As a descendant of the Cherokee and Seminole tribes, he would also go on to play many Native American roles. Later in life, he would follow in Schwarzenegger’s shoes and try to run for office, but both attempts would end his withdrawal.
