HUGH HEFNER
April 9, 1926 – September 27, 2017 (age 91)
Cause of Death: Natural Causes
“Life is too short to be living somebody else’s dream.”
-Hugh Hefner
Sexual revolutionary and founder of Playboy Hugh Hefner has passed away. Leaving behind the Playboy magazine empire as well as the Playboy mansion, Hefner not only brought naked women to the masses with the first Playboy magazine published in 1953 featuring Marilyn Monroe on the cover, Hefner also made it possible for many writers, photographers, and celebrities to have a chance to display their work. He would also appear in many movies and television series as himself. Besides being the playboy behind the magazine, which would later spawn an internet and television empire as well, Hefner could be seen on the long running reality series, “The Girls Next Door,” about Hefner’s three girlfriends living in the Playboy mansion. Although not everyone would agree with his messages or methods, the man was a visionary and a real life James Bond and he leaves behind a legacy that will never be forgotten and which will hopefully be carried on for centuries to come.
“In my wildest dreams, I could not have imagined a sweeter life.”
-Hugh Hefner
