I FEEL PRETTY || April 20th, 2018

I FEEL PRETTY || Amy Schumer returns with her distinctive self-deprecating humor with “I Feel Pretty,” where she basically plays herself, a normal looking, slightly pudgy female who gets hit on the head and wakes up with confidence because she sees herself as a model. Also starring Michelle Williams, Busy Phillips, and Ratajkowski, the film looks too much like Schumer’s normal schtick and despite a glowing review from Oprah, everyone else seems to be unimpressed.
SUPER TROOPERS 2 || After 17 years, the Broken Lizard boys are back reprising their roles in “Super Troopers 2.” Having kickstarted the funds for this film, it will likely not be a box office buster but it will probably fall in line as a cult classic much like the original. This time around, the boys are phasing out a Canadian mountie unit after it is discovered that their precinct is actually on U.S. soil. What follows is the normal dirty, rowdy humor that we’ve been quoting for almost two decades.
TRAFFIK || A quiet, romantic weekend turns deadly when Omar Epps and Paula Patton have a chance encounter at a gas station with some rough bikers and a woman who looks to be in trouble. A swapped phone later and Epps and Patton find themselves fighting for their lives and Patton’s freedom, as these men seem to be apart of a female trafficking outfit with a semi truck full of women. Patton looks stunning as always and I’m glad this isn’t just another random home invasion flick, but “Traffik” still looks a little thinly plotted for my liking.
