MAN ON FIRE on MAX GO

Before “The Equalizer,” Denzel Washington was kicking ass and taking names in the Tony Scott crime drama “Man On Fire,” where he plays a young girl’s bodyguard during a time when kidnapping and ransoms were running rampant. When the girl, played by a very young Dakota Fanning, is taken, Washington takes it upon himself to find her and make those responsible pay. Speaking of Dakota Fanning, her sister can be seen in a drama from last year titles “The Vanishing Of Sidney Hall.” The rest of this week’s collection is a mixed bag, with a comedy starring Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler, titled “The Bounty Hunter,” a visual effects contender at this past year’s Academy Awards in “War For The Planet Of The Apes,” a foreign film that just missed out on getting an Academy Award nomination, but did get plenty of critics love in “BPM (Beats Per Minute),” and one of the DC films that fell a little short in “Suicide Squad.” There are also plenty of other action films including “Unlocked,” starring Noomi Rapace and “Face/Off” starring Nicolas Cage and John Travolta. Also available are two classics, with the original “The Bad News Bears,” starring Walter Matthau and “A Streetcar Named Desire” starring Marlon Brando.
