DEADPOOL 2 || Preview screenings of “Deadpool 2” began last night and, today, Forbes is reporting that the sequel has broken a box office record, managing the biggest Thursday preview for an R-Rated film ever at $18.6 million. That’s also the biggest preview screening for any Marvel film outside the MCU. In 4,349 theaters this weekend, that also marks the widest release for an R-rated movie and the widest release for a 20th Century Fox movie. Read more at: Forbes.

CITY ON A HILL || Showtime has picked up the series “City On A Hill” for a twelve-episode order starting in 2019. Based on an original idea from Ben Affleck, the show will star Kevin Bacon and Aldis Hodge and will be set in 1990s Boston during an onslaught of corruption in the city. Read more at: Variety.

HAPPYTIME MURDERS: OFFICIAL RED-BAND TRAILER

HAPPYTIME MURDERS ||No Sesame. All Street. THE HAPPYTIME MURDERS is a filthy comedy set in the seedy underbelly of Los Angeles where puppets and humans coexist. Two clashing detectives with a shared secret, one human (Melissa McCarthy) and one puppet, are forced to work together again to solve the brutal murders of the former cast of a beloved classic puppet television show. Directed by Brian Henson, starring Melissa McCarthy, Elizabeth Banks, Joel McHale, and Maya Rudolph, and set to premiere August 17th, 2018.

SHOCK AND AWE: OFFICIAL TRAILER

SHOCK AND AWE || The film is based on the true events of Knight Ridder journalists who were the only ones who “got it right” in the lead-up to the 2003 Iraq War when they questioned the true nature of the Bush White House’s justification for the conflict. Directed by Rob Reiner, starring James Marsden, Woody Harrelson, Tommy Lee Jones, Milla Jovovich, and Jessica Biel, and due in theaters July 13th, 2018.

BURNING || Jong-soo, a part-time worker, bumps into Hae-mi while delivering, who used to live in the same neighborhood. Hae-mi asks him to look after her cat while she’s on a trip to Africa. When Hae-mi comes back, she introduces Ben, a mysterious guy she met in Africa, to Jong-soo. One day, Ben visits Jong-soo’s with Hae-mi and confesses his own secret hobby.  Directed by Lee Chang-Dong and premiered at 2018 Cannes Film Festival to rave response.

BEAUTIFUL BOY: OFFICIAL TEASER TRAILER

BEAUTIFUL BOY || Based on the memoir “Beautiful Boy” by David Sheff and “Tweak” by his son, Nic Sheff, Beautiful Boy chronicles the heartbreaking and inspiring experience of survival and recovery in a family coping with addiction over many years. Directed by Felix Van Groeningen (“The Broken Circle Breakdown”), starring Steve Carell and Timothée Chalamet, and due to premiere October 12, 2018 from Amazon Studios.
