SICARIO: DAY OF THE SOLDADO || June 29th, 2018

SICARIO: DAY OF THE SOLDADO || Josh Brolin and Benicio del Toro return to their operative roles from the 2015 thriller “Sicario.” But without director Denis Villeneuve, cinematographer Roger Deakins, and leading actress Emily Blunt, one has to wonder if these extremely interesting characters weren’t better because they were shrouded in mystery. Perhaps shining a light on these characters will not produce the same, awesome effect it had the first time. Director Stefano Sollima takes the helm this time around, an Italian director making his mainstream debut, but will “Sicario: Day of the Soldado” carry anywhere near the same punch as the first film?
