HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA 3: SUMMER VACATION || Adam Sandler and his gang are back for the third installment in the animated “Hotel Transylvania” franchise. Sandler voices the leading role of Dracula, this time dealing with being lonely, as his wife has been deceased from the outset of the series. To give him a break from managing the hotel, his daughter Mavis (Selena Gomez) takes him and all their fellow monsters on a cruise. Along the voyage, they see sights like the Bermuda Triangle, deserted islands, and the lost city of Atlantis, as Dracula finds that he has a crush on the ships captain, Ericka (Kathryn Hahn), who just happens to be the granddaught of his arch-nemesis, Van Helsing. Andy Samberg, Kevin James, David Spade, Steve Buscemi, Keegan-Michael Key, Molly Shannon, Fran Drescher, and Mel Brooks return to the voice cast with Joe Jonas and Chrissy Teigen joining. |  |

SKYSCRAPER || In what is being called an ode to old school action flicks like “Die Hard” (which just turned 30 years old), Dwayne Johnson is back on the big screen in “Skyscraper.” In the film, Johnson plays the assessor of skyscrapers, finding himself in China assessing the tallest, safest building in the world. When a fire breaks out in the skyscraper and Johnson is framed for it, he must find a way back in to the building, which results in the impossible jumping from a crane featured heavily in the marketing, to save his family, who is stuck above the blaze and among the armed men. Recent buzz has been placed, not only on Johnson’s mega-stardom, but the original screenplay behind the film. Johnson has a huge draw and should bring in some decent money for this flick. |  |
