The Best Animated Short category has been narrowed down to ten contenders. The film I’ve seen out of these is “Hair Love,” which was quite touching and could easily be the front-runner in this category. Just seeing stills of the rest of the shorts, I’m predicting the rest of these off of sheer guesses.
“Ninety-two films qualified in the category. Members of the Short Films and Feature Animation Branch vote to determine the shortlist and the nominees.”
The actual nominations for the 92nd Academy Awards will be announced on Monday, January 13, 2020.
