Sam Mendes is solidifying his Academy Award win with the Director Guild awarding him with the top honors in directing this year. Add to that multiple Golden Globe wins and the Producers Guild’s top honors, and the film is sweeping the big deciders heading into the Oscars. Nipping at its heels is “Parasite” still, but with a win from the DGA, it all but hands the Best Director Oscar to Mendes.
