CARL REINER
March 20, 1922 – June 29, 2020
The Bronx, New York City, New York
98 years old

“Every morning, I would actually look at the obituaries before I had breakfast. And as a joke I said if I was not in it, I would have the breakfast.”
— Carl Reiner
Known mostly for his comedic work, Carl Reiner was a frequent collaborator with comedic geniuses like Dick Van Dyke and Mel Brooks. He would direct films like “The Jerk” starring Steve Martin and was most known to me from his performances in all “Ocean’s Eleven,” “Ocean’s Twelve” and “Ocean’s Thirteen” as Saul Bloom alongside Brad Pitt and George Clooney. He would also cameo in films with his voice including “History of the World: Part I” and “Toy Story 4.” He’s also best known for being the father of actor/director Rob Reiner, but he also leaves behind another son and a daughter. He lost his wife, Estelle Lebost, in 2008. Carl Reiner is gone, but never forgotten.
