The Florida Film Critics Circle gave their Best Picture award to “First Cow,” but the story that overshadows that win is Chloé Zhao going undefeated in the Best Director category across all critics awards so far. The groundswell of support for her and her film, “Nomadland,” cannot be ignored. Frances McDormand was awards another Best Actress award while Anthony Hopkins, Paul Raci, and Maria Bakalova all added more award wins to their successful seasons thus far.
