The Music City Film Critics Association really spread the love around in their 3rd Annual Awards Ceremony presented on Twitter. The top honors went to “Promising Young Young,” taking Best Picture, along with Carey Mulligan receiving Best Actress. Chadwick Boseman won Best Actor for her role in “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom,” which tied in the Best Ensemble category with “One Night In Miami.” Speaking of “One Night In Miami,” it also won for Best Song. The film with the most awards, however, was “The Trial of the Chicago 7,” winning Best Supporting Actor for Sacha Baron Cohen, Best Screenplay for Aaron Sorkin, and tying for Best Editing with “The Invisible Man.” Continuing with the trend from the rest of the critics awards this year, Chloé Zhao continues her impressive Best Director streak for her work on “Nomadland,” which also won Best Cinematography.
