“Nomadland” continues it steamrolling of the critics awards this season, being awarded Best Film, Best Director, Best Cinematography, and Best Film Editing by the St. Louis Film Critics Association. Giving it a run for its money was “Promising Young Woman,” which was runner-up for both Best Film and Best Director, but beat out “Nomadland” for Best Actress, with Carey Mulligan winning over France McDormand and Best Original Screenplay, which “Nomadland” failed to win the Adapted Screenplay category. “Promising Young Woman” also won Best Soundtrack.
