The Denver Film Critics Society has announced the winner of their yearly awards, honoring Netfliix’s “The Trial of the Chicago 7” with their Best Picture award, straying from the general consensus of “Nomadland.” However, they are not straying from Chloé Zhao being the Best Director of the year, following suit with that honoree. One other pick that sets them outside the box if their Best Supporting Actress award going to Ellen Burstyn for her work in “Pieces of a Woman.”
