If there was a way to “sweep” the Sundance Film Festival, “Coda” found the way. Taking home four awards including the Grand Jury Prize for Dramatic Feature, the film stands for Child Of Deaf Adult and follows a young, speaking girl with a passion for singing as she acts as a bridge between her deaf family and the outside world. Questlove’s documentary, “Summer Of Soul (…Or, When The Revolution Could Not Be Televised)” won a pair of awards while international film “Hive” won three. With the entire festival taking place virtually this year, I felt extremely fortunate to take part in watching the films and will remember this moment fondly.
