The Dallas-Fort Worth Film Critics Association spread their love around this year between “Nomadland,” “Promising Young Woman,” “Mank,” and “Minari.” Winning Best Picture and Best Cinematography was “Nomadland,” as well as continuing the unprecedented run for Chloé Zhao and her Best Director sweep of the awards season. “Minari” won Best Foreign Language Feature and Russell Smith Award for best low budget film. “Promising Young Woman” was awarded Best Actress to Carey Mulligan and Best Screenplay to Emerald Fennell. “Mank” pulled off Best Supporting Actress for Amanda Seyfried and Best Musical Score.
