“Nomadland” was the big winner of the Seattle Film Critics Society Awards, not only winning the top prize of Best Picture, but taking Best Director, Best Actress, Best Cinematography, and Best Film Editing. The only film that had a chance of beating it was “Minari,” which ended up winning Best Supporting Actress, Best Youth Performance, and Best Film Not in the English Language. “Tenet” took a pair of awards, while the rest were divvied up between films like “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom,” “Promising Young Woman,” and “Sound Of Metal.” With only a handful of critics awards left this season, it seems “Nomadland” is a clear favorite.
