“Promising Young Woman” came, saw, and concurred the Nevada Film Critics Society Awards, winning all the major awards, including Best Film, Best Director and Original Screenplay for Emerald Fennell, and Best Actress for Carey Mulligan. “The Father” won Best Adapted Screenplay and tied in the Best Actor category, with Anthony Hopkins sharing the award with Riz Ahmed from “Sound of Metal.” Christopher Nolan’s “Tenet” won a pair of technical awards while Glenn Close finally won her first Best Supporting Actress award, despite being heavily favorited for an Oscar nomination.
