The awards are still coming in for 2020’s beloved “Nomadland,” this time being awarded Best Picture by the Las Vegas Film Critics Society. Chloé Zhao was also awarded yet another Best Director honor while Joshua James Richards won the Best Cinematography award. Another multi-winner was “Judas and the Black Messiah.” Not only did Daniel Kaluuya win Best Supporting Actor but the film also won Best Original Song as well as Best Original Screenplay. Amanda Seyfried won Best Supporting Actress for “Mank,” while the film also won Best Art Direction. “Soul,” “Sound of Metal,” and “The Invisible Man” also took multiple awards.

LAS VEGAS FILM CRITICS SOCIETY

The Las Vegas Film Critics Society is a non-profit, progressive organization dedicated to the advancement and preservation of film and is composed of selected print, television, radio and Internet film critics in the Las Vegas and Reno area. The LVFCS presents its “Sierra” awards each year for the best in film, including The William Holden Lifetime Achievement Award, which is named for the brilliant Academy Award winning actor.
