With the way the earlier awards were landing, you could have narrowed down the Atlanta Film Critics Circle’s pick for Best Picture to two films. It was either going to be “The Power of the Dog,” which won Best Director, Best Lead Actor, Best Supporting Actress, and Best Cinematography, or “Licorice Pizza,” which tied for Best Lead Actress and Best Ensemble and won for Best Supporting Actor and Best Screenplay. It ended up “Licorice Pizza” being named Best Picture of the year by the Atlanta Film Critics Circle.
