The 28th Screen Actors Guild Awards aired on TBS/TNT on Sunday night, and it felt like a step back into our regularly scheduled programming. Whether it’s headed that way or not, with COVID still lurking around every corner and a new war on the horizon, it felt like a slice of normalcy. Not only was it nice to see celebrities bumping shoulders and talking to Laverne Cox and Yvette Nicole Brown on the red carpet, but the actual awards handed out were feel-good as well. Troy Kotsur and the whole cast won for “CODA,” the actors of “Squid Game” won their categories, and even Ariana DeBose and Will Smith won, both of which are on their way to Academy Awards. It just felt good.
