Imagining a world where “Everything Everywhere All At Once” becomes this year’s Oscar winner for Best Picture brings me joy. Every critic’s circle that picks it as their favorite film of the year brings us one step closer to that reality. Washington D.C. Area Film Critics Association is the subsequent critic’s award for stepping in and making that play. Along with Best Film, “Everything Everywhere All At Once” was recognized for Best Director, Supporting Actor, and Original Screenplay. “The Banshees of Inisherin” continues to sweep the acting awards, with Colin Farrell and Kerry Condon adding to their collection. “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery” won a pair of awards, as did “Top Gun: Maverick.”
