The Austin Film Critics Association picked “Everything Everywhere All At Once” as the Best Film of the Year, giving it 9 total awards. Michelle Yeoh, Ke Huy Quan, and Stephanie Hsu all grabbed acting awards, while Colin Farrell, a favorite for an Oscar nomination (and potential win) won Best Actor for his work in “The Banshees of Inisherin.” Jenny Slate received an award for her vocal performance in “Marcel the Shell with Shoes On,” which also won Best Animated Feature. And “Decision to Leave” beat out “RRR” for Best International Film.

Founded in 2005 by Cole Dabney & Bobby McCurdy, the AFCA has seen its membership grow from single digits to well over 20 members with a diverse roster of professional film critics who regularly review movies for national television stations, daily newspapers, weekly alternatives, local radio, monthly magazines, and websites with international prominence.
