ABOUT THE Minnesota Film Critics Alliance

Established in 2020, the Minnesota Film Critics Association (formerly Minnesota Film Critics Alliance) is a collective of writers, video producers, and podcasters with a passion for cinema. The MNFCA’s members hail from all corners of the state, ranging from the scenic Lake Superior shores to the bustling Twin Cities and the western frontier bordering North Dakota. In its inaugural awards ceremony in 2021, the MNFCA celebrated Nomadland with the Best Picture accolade. Beyond recognizing the year’s finest films, the MNFCA also broadcasts the diverse perspectives of its members through the weekly ‘The Minnesota Movie Digest’ newsletter.
