The Houston Film Critics Society is a not-for-profit, unincorporated voluntary organization of print, broadcast, and internet film critics based in or serving publication in the Houston metropolitan area, the Gulf Coast region, and beyond who meet our membership criteria. We count San Antonio as an affiliate city and include its eligible critics among our collective.

Founded in 2007, the Houston Film Critics Society helps to organize and coordinate the local area film critics community, and bring the wonders of cinema to the public at large.
