ABOUT THE CAPRI HOLLWOOD INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL

Almost thirty years have passed since Pascal Vicedomini involved us in the surprising adventure of “Capri, Hollywood”. Today our Festival is a staple in the international calendar, an appointment always full of news and proposals, a great opportunity for our entire Campania Region that must constantly redeem itself from a thousand problems that penalize it. Year after year, the number of prestigious guests who welcome our invitation and reach us on the blue island for the most important Italian art, cinema and entertainment event of winter is growing. More and more at the top of the global consideration. Since 1995 1995we have enthusiastically accepted this challenge, focusing on this appointment and on the cultural riches of a land that makes hospitality and charm without time the reasons for its success. Thanks to the participation of the big international entertainment and an ever-increasing media attention, “Capri, Hollywood” offers an annual real territorial marketing operation of the highest level. The guests who from year to year savor the atmosphere of the Gulf of Naples at this particular time of the year, become in fact witnesses of the tourist and artistic excellence of Capri in the world continuing to fuel that myth that makes this island a unique place for atmosphere and liveliness, beyond its extraordinary natural beauty. The myth of Capri has always been fueled above all by the great characters who have loved and attended it in history, from the emperor Tiberius to the great personalities of the present day. It is this force of the myth that “Capri, Hollywood” keeps alive, with positive repercussions for the whole of the South. On the other hand, Capri continues to confirm its positive trend, despite the international crisis: a destination that knows no crisis thanks to the numerous foreign presences that renew from season to season. The hope is that, in the wake of the many precious participations, there are still multiple opportunities for collaboration that reinforce a finally positive message: the Blue Island and Southern Italy represent opportunities and realities of success, against every common place.
