Following an update to my iPhone this past week, I discovered there is now a widgets section on the phone that allows you to add a few things like showing how much data you’ve used or the weather or the latest news stories, but one pertinent widget I found  was through IMDB, which shows celebrity birthdays at a glance and in checking it today, September 30th, the last day of the month, I noticed that there were several talented and gorgeous women sharing a birthday today. So in continuing with a section of my blog I called the “Crush” section where I talk about the ladies that I’m crushing on, either in television or film, these are the five women who all share the same birthday and that I have crushed on at some point throughout my life. Also, a non-female birthday that also lands on today is the actor soon to play DC’s The Flash in the Justice League movie, Ezra Miller.

marioncotillardMarion Cotillard (41)
From: Paris, France
Favorite: Inception, The Dark Knight Rises, Rust And Bone, Two Days One Night
Upcoming: Assassin’s Creed, Allied

Marion first popped on my radar in Michael Mann’s period piece Public Enemies opposite Johnny Depp. And even though that film wasn’t good at all and her role not hugely memorable, from then on I was awe-struck by her and she began showing up in all the films I was getting excited about. The Oscar nominated Nine was the next film I remember her from, opposite Daniel Day Lewis and then came her best performance to date, in Inception, along with Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hardy, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. I still can’t get that performance out of my mind. Following that up with The Dark Knight Rises, which was also Christopher Nolan, proved that she and Nolan made a great team, as she played a multi-layered character with a few twists and turns. She’s worked with Woody Allen in Midnight In Paris and Steven Soderbergh in Contagion, not to mention a favorite of mine, Rust And Bone, and her Academy Award nominated role in Two Days, One Night, which was much deserved. Now, by year’s end, she will find herself in the video game adaptation Assassin’s Creed, opposite Michael Fassbender. Marion is in a committed relationship with one child and another on the way and is also a spokesperson for Greenpeace.

Monica Bellucci (52)
From: Città di Castello, Umbria, Italy
Favorite: The Matrix Reloaded, Malena, Sprectre
Upcoming: Twin Peaks TV Series

At 52, Bellucci proved just last year that she could still pull off being a Bond woman, opposite Daniel Craig in Spectre for some pivotal moments in the film. Before that, the biggest roles I remember her from were her turns in The Matrix as Persephone, Malèna as the title character, and The Sorcerer’s Apprentice in a small but important role opposite Nicolas Cage. Now she’ll be involved in the new Twin Peaks television series. Bellucci is the definition of a sexpot. Bellucci was once married to actor Vincent Cassel. She can speak four languages: Italian, French, English and Farsi.

laceychabert

Lacey Chabert (34)
From: Purvis, Mississippi
Favorite: Mean Girls, Party Of Five
Upcoming: Acre Beyond The Rye

Back in grade school, when my mother and sister would rule the television, I remember Party Of Five being the main stake in their weekly watching, for which I always remember Neve Campbell, Scott Wolff, Matthew Fox, and Jennifer Love Hewitt coming from as their roots. And the one person that had me anticipating the show, at the adolescent years of 7-13 was Chabert. Later, she would go on to be the stereotypical hot chick in the spoof movie Not Another Teen Movie and eventually one of the main girls in Mean Girls across from Lindsay Lohan and next to Rachel McAdams. And what you might not know about her is that she is huge in the voice work world, doing the voices for countless television shows through the years including The Wild Thornberrys, The Spectacular Spider-Man, and currently Nickelodeon’s Shimmer and Shine. Chabert is married and earlier this month, welcomed their first child,  Julia Mimi Bella.

katrinalaw

Katrina Law (31)
From: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Favorite: Arrow TV Series
Upcoming: Training Day TV Series

Unfortunately having not followed much of her career, actress Katrina Law just recently landed on my radar when she took on the role of Nyssa al Ghul in Season Two and Three of the CW superhero series Arrow, in which she is one of the title character’s main love interests, the daughter of super-villain Ra’s al Ghul. Wearing a mask and wielding a bow and arrow of her own, she was easy to fall for and became one of the main reasons to keep watching the show. Now she’ll find herself in a television follow-up to Antoine Fuqua’s Training Day. As a teenager, she was crowned Miss New Jersey Teen USA and is married to fellow actor Keith Andreen.

jennaelfmancanthardlywait

Jenna Elfman (45)
From: Los Angeles, California
Favorite: Can’t Hardly Wait, Damages TV Series, Friends With Benefits
Upcoming: Imaginary Mary TV Series

Known almost exclusively for her title role on the long running television series Dharma & Greg, Jenna Elfman first appeared on my radar wearing a gold bikini and playing a stripper waiting for a ride in the teen movie Can’t Hardly Wait (also starring Jennifer Love Hewitt to which Lacey Chabert’s character in Not Another Teen Movie is spoofing). There she gives wisdom, dressed as an angel, offering a tongue in cheek moment to the protagonist’s quest to finally tell the woman that he loves that he loves her. Elfman has subsequently continued to pop up here and there throughout the years in things that I’ve watched (the film Friends With Benefits) or things I’ve wanted to watch (the final season of Damages). She won a Golden Globe in 1999 for her role on Dharma & Greg. She was born Jennifer Mary Butala and married actor Bodhi Elfman in 1995, making the composer Danny Elfman her uncle-in-law. She has two children.

  1. While I’m not crushing on any, Lacey Chabert in that bra is hard to keep my eyes off 😉 !

    1. Glad you approve. Haha. I find all these ladies hard to take my eyes off of, thus the “crush” 😉
