The National Film Registry of the Library of Congress have announced the twenty-five works selected this year to be preserved by the Washington institution. Under the terms of the National Film Preservation Act, the Librarian of Congress each year names to the registry 25 motion pictures that are “culturally, historically or aesthetically” significant and at least ten years old.
