Straying from the pack slight, the Utah Film Critics Association handed out their awards. Best Picture strayed from “Nomadland” and went to “Minari” instead. Also stepping outside the box in Best Directing, they awarded Regina King for her work on “One Night In Miami.” Leslie Odom Jr. was also able to grab Best Supporting Performance (Male) for the same film. Nice to see a lot of love for “The Trial of the Chicago 7” and even a win for Charlie Kaufman’s “I’m Thinking of Ending Things,” which has been a little radio silent lately.
